My fascination with television began in childhood, watching cartoons with my grandfather and marveling at the creativity behind the screen. Over the years, that curiosity grew into a deep appreciation for every aspect of media — from audio and design to on- and off-camera production. Central Michigan University has given me the opportunity to turn that passion into a craft, helping me develop a diverse skill set I’m proud of. Working in media feels like a second home, surrounded by people who share the same energy, creativity, and drive to tell stories that connect with others.
Interview: Tessa Nico
2025-2026 National Cherry Queen
As part of a professional media performance course, I had the opportunity to interview Miss Tessa Nico, the 2025–2026 National Cherry Queen and a fellow student at Central Michigan University. This was my first recorded video interview, allowing me to apply on-camera presentation techniques and journalistic storytelling in a professional setting. The experience strengthened my confidence as an interviewer and demonstrated my ability to blend preparation, curiosity, and natural conversation on camera.
